Hyper-glam metal never cut so deep. Before The Oldz, bandmates Trips, Travis, Chuckie, and Bruce were Murder Salad. Their stylings were more than tight pants and tall hair. They pushed boundaries, throwing Rococo fashion, spandex, neon, biker chic, androgyny, and valley girl into a blender set to puree. In contrast to many contemporaries in the 80s, Murder Salad exclusively produced concept albums with scorching commentary on topics including totalitarianism, the crack epidemic, and nuclear proliferation.
